The 3 youngest ones and I had quite an adventurous day. While Owen was at flag football camp, we went to my Uncle's farm along with my mom, Lissa and Tripp. It rained most of the night before and all morning (there) so we weren't sure how the day would go. Thankfully the rain cleared upon our arrival and stayed away the whole time! It was muddy but we didn't mind!
First stop, feed the chickens and check for eggs.

Second, wash the eggs. Not sure who asked, but the kids wanted the eggs washed. Ha!
They dug for potatoes, pulled squash and cucumbers, picked flowers and went for a ride in Uncle's truck to see the cow and donkey. They took turns honking the truck for most of the ride. So much for a quiet, peaceful farm ;)
We checked on the animal's water supply.

My Uncle has always been amazing with kids. He made this day incredibly special for mine. I have fond childhood memories at his farm, but it didn't include a farmhouse at the time. Now he and Pam live there full time...living out his dream.
His wife Pam, is the canning Queen. I brought some empty jars as a hint and it worked :)
