Busy with Beads

With the home study in the hands of our government and not much else on the dossier checklist to complete (yay!) I have been using most of my spare time this past week making earrings. EJ's mom brought her HUGE supply of beads and tools and lots of gorgeous already made jewelry. She is making a VERY GENEROUS donation of materials as well previously made pieces, to raise money for our adoption. Isn't that SO exciting? I haven't quite figured out how I will sell them, whether at party or online, probably both. Stay tuned. They make perfect Christmas gifts, teacher gifts, birthday gifts, etc. ALL the proceeds go to our adoption fund.

The boys have been helping too. Apparently you don't have to wear earrings to qualify ;) They are getting just as eager to have her home as I am.

EJ's mom has been making jewelry for quite awhile. Last Thanksgiving she gave me a tutorial on necklace and bracelet making. This time it was earrings. The earrings are my favorite to make.

4 boys and a Museum

The boys had off from school last Wed. Owen requested we go to the art museum. Since EJ's mom was in town, it sounded like the perfect combination. And because 3 boys wouldn't get the museum guards hearts' racing enough, we brought a friend too ;)

Ok, so my heart was racing just as much theirs. Not sure I really enjoyed any of the art. But they had a good time and did great with all the rules. We haven't been to this museum since it's new renovations, which included all this amazing new landscape/water features.

After being stuck in the stroller the WHOLE time we were inside. 

He was let loose outside and very happy to roam.

 EJ took the morning off. We all went out to lunch afterwards.

Trick or Treat?

EJ's mom is in town this week. As usual she brought with her lots of treats. Including WaterIce that needed to stay frozen on her long drive. So she bought a block of dry ice. Both the water ice and the dry ice were a big hit.

 

 She also brought marshmallow shooters for all 5 of us ;)

Our yard has never looked so tasty good ;)

Just a Tad on Edge

This morning, waiting in my inbox, was notice that our i800A was received. This means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's not been approved. Just arrived in mail and waiting to be processed.

So, I cleaned a few windows. And reorganized EJ's dress shirts by color. A completely normal response, I am sure ;)

Funny how the slightest bit of news gets my heart racing. Tomorrow I have a phone date with Lifeline to discuss Dossier checklist. Several items have already been done. Yay!

Sometimes...
