The house is too quiet. Too much time to think. Thinking = worrying. I am mentally trying to prepare for every possible situation. This is not helpful. My prayers are easily diverted into more thinking and more worrying. This is frustrating!
So, in my silent home, I have...
sterilized some bottles
finished all thank you notes
load of laundry
cleaned out the junk drawer (it was barely closing)
made a grocery list
I hope to...
hang a few pictures back up in the baby's room
go to the post office for stamps
eat dinner out with EJ
enjoy one more quiet night
I am thrilled to have a TO DO list again.
I can't say the same for EJ and his list is a little longer.

Spring Break
I have no idea how Spring Break is going to work, but for some reason I am still excited. Sadly, I can't really take the boys anywhere with walking involved. Hopefully we will come up with something. Plus my parents have a few things up their sleeves. We thought we'd start the celebration with some giant ice cream cones. They ate after last bit. I am not sure why their single scoops were so big.

Eggtra Fun
Friday, after my Dr. appointment, we decorated Easter Eggs.
My parents will come back on Sunday for Easter dinner and then take the boys to their mountain house on Monday and Tues for a little Spring Break fun.

On Thursday, my dear friend Mary (a college roommate) and her son Aaron came for a visit. They stayed the night and left Friday afternoon. We had a great time catching up. And she helped relieve EJ from some of his daily chores (dinner, dishes, etc.) I was just happy to enjoy her company. She is due in September so her little one and my youngest will be so close in age.
On Tuesday, we broke out the plastic eggs. Mom hid the empty eggs several times in the yard, with the promise of a "real" hunt on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately our landscaping is so new that there aren't very many tricky spots.
Please, his hair is so long. He got it cut that afternoon. Who knew he had ears and a neck.
Progress
The short version, I am 3 cm, 70% effaced.
For those of you who care...
If only I could relish in this news, it's every (9 months) pregnant woman's dream come true. Alas, the baby is still breech and so this does me NO good.
After all of this, yes I am mad. At whom or what, it depends on the day. I suppose it's the straw that broke the camel's back.
I have spent sleepless hours wrestling in prayer, time on my knees and elbows (a position that could possibly give baby extra space to flip) praying that this little guy would turn. If only I prayed for the salvation of my boys, like I have prayed for this guy to turn around. I know that anything is possible in Him. But yet, my flesh keeps me from the peace He offers. And then I get mad at my flesh for being upset. (Don't you love that cycle we play?) As much as I hate losing sleep, there is something to be said about wrestling with God when everyone else is sleeping. He is always there and never surprised with what we have to say.
I know deep down that a c-section is not the end of the world. I know that God is still in control and that there could be a perfectly good reason the baby is breech. But I have had one surgery too many and don't relish the thought of being in an O.R. again. Nor am I excited for the extra length of recovery time on the dreaded couch.
I am wearing my heart on my sleeve. This is where I am. Believe it or not I am actually much more peaceful about it than I was a week ago. If you can imagine?
At this point, I have a tentative c-section planned for April 12th. If I stop dilating this week, they may postpone. My Dr. is on vacation next week and I would really like her to perform the surgery. Hopefully the little guy will turn or hold off a little longer. She will try to manually turn the baby right before doing the c-section. If this works they will induce me, if not I go in for the c-section.
We made it to 36 weeks! I know I should be celebrating!
