Quite the Ending

We ended our summer with a short camping trip. Our family can't attend our favorite church camping trip this year, so we decided to have an overnight in my parent's yard. Camping with LOTS of conveniences. My parents agreed to the plan and ran with it.

Ryan found some nature and was happy as a clam frog.

They found several and found them very entertaining.

My dad had plenty of worms to share. The fish were appreciative and nabbed them without being caught.

So... she isn't afraid to touch the slimy worms.

We enjoyed a cookout on the deck and Mason helped build a campfire for dessert.

Smore's are a must

A stories by the campfire before bed time.  

Owen was NOT feeling well and slept inside the house.
He was a good sport despite how awful he felt and would continue to feel for 5 more days :(

EJ is such a good sport. This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for him. I slept on a comfy bed inside. :)

 

The next morning was gorgeous and quiet and serene.

The kids had a great time. We don't often stay over night with my parents because they live so close. This was a fun idea and my sister is already hinting at wanting to join in the next time!
