The Littlest One

My little leprechaun. (I think he might be the most Irish looking one of the bunch)

This series of photos is just a small glimpse of what it's like being the littlest one. Isn't he lucky?

Mason isn't actually hurting him, although it appears that way.
He was blowing zurberts. But come on, give the kid some space already :)

A Good Day

Owen and I had fun this morning. After Ryan's morning nap we went to a party store to get some goodies for his party on Saturday and my sister's party Friday night. I probably would have spent less money if I'd gone by myself, but this was more fun and he enjoyed it too.
Then we went out for lunch. He actually talked to me. I mean really answered my questions and seemed genuinely interested in a conversation. It was awesome. He is not our talker, unless it's about sports or time for bed.

It was also really good for him to come to Mason's preschool. He was able to put a face to the names Mason mentions. In the past, Owen has given Mason a hard time about preschool b/c he doesn't really do "school work" or have homework. Unlike himself the sophisticated 1st grader. Ha. Well, today he was reminded just how fun preschool was and wished he were little again. They were cute on the ride home sharing with each other about their mornings.

We didn't do anything special this afternoon. Fortunately, Owen has some St Patty's Day excitement or I think he'd be sad to go back to school tomorrow. I have lots of green food planned. Could be an interesting day!

Getting Ready

We start the birthday celebrations this weekend! I couldn't let my frames be ignored :)
See little Owen and the young mama?
(I didn't even notice that random blue block until now. somebody else is decorating too)

Silence

We hardly ever go anywhere on the weekday afternoons. I am enjoying it while I can. I know it will soon be filled with practices of some sort. For now I am resisting. Today, however Ryan was up from his nap at a reasonable time and homework went unusually quick so we went to the library! Owen never gets to go with us anymore.
It was better than Christmas. These 2 read all the way home and for at least 30 minutes when we got home. I don't think 5 o'clock has ever been so quiet and peaceful. What a treat! Ryan probably thought he was in the wrong house.

Fun Day

Owen is beside himself. He has tomorrow off from school but Mason doesn't. This is the first time this has happened. Usually the preschool is closed when the public school is off. I guess the preschool decided a random teacher workday didn't count. Plus, Mason wanted to stay for lunch bunch, so Owen and I will have even more time together.
I am secretly just as happy as he is. I have some fun things planned for us. Ryan will be in tow, but I will still be able to give more attention to Owen than usual.
