Easter Morning

I wish I could say we had a glorious Easter Morning this year, but it was not fun and I'd rather not think about it. It was however a wonderful reminder of how much we need a Savior. I guess that kinda makes it the best Easter ever. Funny, how the Gospel changes everything ;)
EJ was gone and Ryan was VERY sick. I had not expected him to be worse 2 days after his Neb treatments and prescriptions started. I think he actually had RSV. He was miserable. He slept terrible Sat night, refused to eat or drink and insisted on being held ALL day long on Sunday. Fortunately, we spent most of the day in the car. It did make loading the van trickier than normal. He continued to sleep bad the next two nights and naps. By Tuesday, we were seeing glimpses of the Ryan we desperately missed.
He was so sick it didn't even matter that it was his 2nd birthday. Guess he is still 1, right? ;)
No cute Easter outfits for us this year. Or pictures for that matter. We didn't even go to church. I didn't want to leave him at home with my mom b/c he was such a mess. At least EJ didn't miss too much.
We pretty much ignored his birthday. That was the original plan when we knew EJ would be traveling. So I guess we should celebrate soon. I am a bit in denial. So far 2 is starting out rough. The only reason I am excited that he is 2 is because now I can do his silhouette to join his brothers on the dining room wall ;)

Mom's Birthday

My mom arrived Saturday afternoon to help me prepare for our beach trip and we managed to  squeeze in a "Easter" dinner and a birthday celebration.

These were yummy frozen choc. pops
My mom is amazing. So very quick to serve anyone. We are constantly blessed by her love for us. She had a major dose of grandsons this past week. She survived, quite graciously I might add. I am so so thankful for her. She claims she'd do it again ;) We'll see.

Packing Up, Heading Out

We joined EJ and the team as they met the day before departure to pack 19, 50lb bags of donations.
We were worried and curious how they would manage so many bags. The Lord's hand was on them. Not a single problem. There 4 flights in total, went according to schedule too. I didn't know that was possible!

My mom and dad helping
The boys not really helping ;)
EJ and my dad left Friday April 6th for an early Sat. a.m. flight.
Owen collapsed on the driveway in tears when they drove off.
I couldn't believe it! He doesn't usually show that much emotion.
He really missed his Daddy. Way more than the other 2.

Home Sweet Home

We are back. All together again! EJ is home from Nicaragua and the boys and I are back from the beach. I have piles upon piles waiting for me. It is so nice to be together again, minus the piles ;)

I am blown away by the Father's love for me, for us!

Will be back with photos... eventually :)

Egg Wars

Ryan was not feeling well. He needed some encouragement to get him started.
His big brothers gently showed him the ropes after much encouraging from me.

Egg hunts bring out the best in my boys ;)
I guess it's fun for them to fight over hunt for the eggs?!?!
Funny he still enjoys this

Our neighbor came over towards the end and helped search for the trickier ones.
